About me
Journalist with the national print media in Dublin for nearly 10 years, covering mostly politics, crime and general news. Now living in New York, writing for the Irish papers here and some papers back home, covering any Irish-interest news, showbiz, events, etc., from Bill and Hillary Clinton talking to Irish groups during the Presidential Election primaries, to interviewing Donal O'Kelly after his extraordinary play, the Cambria, at the Irish Arts Center. I also do media consultancy and campaign management for Irish organizations here in New York (immigration groups, etc.), as well as attorneys, musicians and community and youth groups.
Last year I taught Irish history and civil and human rights in the north of Ireland to youth in Harlem for six months (culminating in their travelling to Ireland to meet Stormont leaders, the Lord Mayor of Belfast, leaders of the Orange Order and both loyalist and nationalist community groups in Belfast).
I also write fiction (based on real events in the north of Ireland) and am looking for an agent.
Recently I sat the New York Bar exams.
